The Anchorage Museum collaborates with the Alaska Teen Media Institute to explore life in the North through the perspective of young filmmakers. The Institute provide teens with the tools and training needed to produce stories and with the opportunity for their stories – told in their own voices – to be shared through a variety of media.
Cook Inlet beluga whales are an endangered population with less than 350 known individuals left. This topic was the artistic and scientific focus of a collective film project of the Anchorage Museum and the Spirit of Youth’s Alaska Teen Media Institute.
